1960’s Original French Tolix Square Outdoor Dining Table – White Square (Model 1153.2). Tolix is one of our all time favourite companies. In 1907 Frenchman Xavier Pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc (galvanisation) and a few years later he set up his factory producing steel furniture. Tolix used their metal working skill to also produce exquisitely designed but practical cafe/dining tables to partner their chairs. This is their simple square design popular throughout France. The table is in one piece in exceptional original condition with a knee height clearance of 70cm. Rich original character the table has been cleaned and serviced in our own workshops. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
