The two young French designers, Nathanaël Desormeaux and Damien Carrette, drew inspiration from a salt shaker to design the Rocket occasional table-stool and cocktail table. The intriguing shape reveals the gradual transformation of a cross on the ground towards a flat, circular top. Equal parts useful and quirky, the piece reflects the duo's philosophy: combining an exacting industrial design with an artistic inspiration. This outdoor version echoes the holes of the pedestal table - a nod to the salt-shaker inspiration - but they are simply engraved in continuation of the original design.
