This vintage, hexagonal, all-occasion, pedestal table is more than likely a Winchendon table, made from mahogany, which was a highly prized wood for furniture making, during the Georgian and Victorian era’s, due to its durability, rich color, and ability to take a fine polish. Tables crafted from mahogany, especially those with intricate detailing like beaded edges, and turned pedestals, were status symbols.
