Offering a very special hanging light from the 40s, with a large, festively decorated glass bowl with a glass accent above it, all-original and in excellent condition! As you can see, the canopy is also particularly decorative and unusual. This fixture has been rewired from the ceiling to the cluster below, which (wiring) cluster is in perfect condition. You can use any size/wattage bulbs you desire. Here's a bonus: the finial also serves as a 4-way switch! All three bulbs on, all off, two on, one on. This special feature took into account, no doubt, that some rooms were not equipped with a wall switch. Insofar as the switch is now approaching a hundred years of age, I'd recommend not regularly using it! If it breaks it can easily be bypassed, but it's fun to have it, for that rare occasion when you're showing off the light's "special feature." This light easily and quickly sails past most of those from this period, as one glance tells. Dimensions: hanging down 23 inches as shown (obviously links can be removed from the chain to allow a shorter hanging length, but I do not have any additional links to allow a longer length); 15 1/2 inches across. The bowl is four inches deep. The glass bowl and hanging apparatus will be double-boxed for shipping security.
