A 1960s French lantern pendant in the manner of Louis Sognot. The bell-shaped shade is formed from a lattice of bent bamboo, its intersections bound in finely woven rattan. Suspended from a sculptural chain of hand-carved bamboo links, the design feels both rustic and architectural. Light filters through the open frame, casting a delicate geometric pattern. A warm, textural moment over a breakfast table, entry, or reading nook. Condition: Great vintage condition. Light wear throughout, with patina to the bamboo chain and minor fraying to the rattan wrap, consistent with age and use. This pendant has been professionally rewired by our team of restorationists with a new wire, socket, and canopy. Accepts one E26 base light bulb. Additional Dimensions: 18"Original chain; Canopy: 5"W x 1"H
