Straight from the 1980's era of Wall Street excess this lamp embodies the Postmodern aesthetic. The pebble texture and marbled glass shade is marked 'la murrina" with what looks like a decorative pontil mark right below. The pendant is suspended within a braided metal hoop which itself is suspended by three decorative braided ropes which attach to the ceiling assembly. The socket assembly houses five bulbs and attaches to the ceiling assembly by two decorative spiraling rods. This lamp is beautifully designed and exceptionally made!
