This four-branch ceiling lamp, designed by Paavo Tynell and manufactured by Oy Taito Ab at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s, is a sophisticated example of the soft modernism of the golden age of Finnish design. The lamp body is made of polished brass, a material characteristic of Tynell due to its warm and beautifully reflective surface. Four graceful, gently curved tubular arms extend from the bowl-like lower part of the central frame, supporting upward-opening glass domes.
