Ama Led Pendant

The Ama LED Pendant from Bomma takes its name from Japanese female pearl divers who have collected pearls for centuries. Designer Václav Mlynár created mouth-blown crystal shells that can be configured in either an open or closed position, mimicking the actual pearl mussels. Each glass component is crafted using a specialized glassmaking technique where the material is heated over two days and gradually melts into a conical mold. The steel frame supports these luminous shells, which arrange naturally into clusters that recall underwater mussel formations.
