The Artes LED Pendant from CTO Lighting takes a transitional approach, housing a long slab of honed alabaster within a dark metal bar suspended by a brass rod. When the LED source activates, it illuminates the stone from within, drawing out its natural translucency and revealing the veining across its surface. Minimal in form but rich in material, the fixture is dimmable, allowing the quality of light through the alabaster to be dialed in as needed.
