A dramatic yet sublimely minimal Modern cylinder shaped form hanging pendant swag style hanging lamp designed and manufactured by Prescolite circa 1960's. The thick, hefty glass (6 lbs.) cylinder shade is designed in the same manner as the Prismatic glass patterns found in similar Holophane Brand glass shade designs from the mid 20th century. The inner globe socket light hardware is a unique Prescolite patented design that is comprised of 3 articulating expanding arms that allows the assembly to be inserted through the glass opening, then expanded to create an anchor within the shade allowing for the complete absence of any obtrusive mounting hardware resulting in a purely minimal and streamlined aesthetic.
