Beautiful bubble glass pendant light designed by helena tynell for glashütte limburg. A design classic, the hand blown glass gives a wonderful warm glow. The dimensions: height 80 cm from ceiling, the diameter 30 cm. Height of only the frame (without the bar) 20 cm. Helena tynell is a finnish glass and ceramics designer. She was a student at the school of the arts in helsinki between 1943-1946. She was one of the most influential designers in the finnish glass company riihimäki lasi. Her work has been exhibited from 1954-1960 m (12 editions) at the triennale in milan, zurich, amsterdam and london. She has worked as a freelance designer for flygsfors glassworks, bega leuchten, glashütte limburg and fostoria glass. Heavy quality and in very good vintage condition. Cleaned, re-wired and ready to use. The light requires one single e27 screw fit light bulb (60watt max). This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
