Designers Pauline Capdo and Luis Bellener must have had whirling dancers in mind when they created Carmen. The Brussels-based duo fashion a pleated fabric corolla that surrounds the luminous disc containing an LED light source. They chose the material for both its interesting aesthetic and its structural ability to create a large, self-supporting fabric disc. Light and airy, the pendant light has a ethereal presence and a captivatingly graphic impact.
