Designed by Foster and Partners, this product started out with the simple idea of creating a “disc of light,” producing this elegant and straightforward form. Two parallel discs connect via a metal stem, and the smaller disc below is made out of aluminum and shines LED light off the larger reflector disc to create a stunning display. This pendant light uses an innovative heat tube in the metal stem to absorb the heat from the LED, transferring it directly to a heat sink in the reflector. This design produces a slender look, whereas most heat sinks are quite bulky.
