1960’s double domed benjamin enamelled pendant lamps – 18 inch – restored. Benjamin was arguably the market leader in industrial lighting in the 1930’s through to 1960’s. Their main market was providing tough enamelled lamps to large factories. Made from spun and enamelled steel they are the large 18 inch domed model, with a repeat double domed top. In exceptional original condition, the galleries have been stripped brushed and sealed. Thirty available. These lamps are strong visual statements perfect for a hall, contemporary kitchen or living space. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored and all electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern european ce standard components to bs en 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to bs en 60598. Included: each lamp comes completely wired and ready to install including; 2 metres of chain for hanging the lamps, 2 metres of black silk covered electrical cable and a ceiling hook as shown. The lamp is fitted with a standard e27 threaded lamp holder for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs are widely available. We recommend led bulbs 6w maximum. We select the best colour/style of cable for each lamp. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
