Unveiled at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, Estadio's elegant crown of sparkling radiance has the grandeur of medieval chandeliers found in European palaces and cathedrals. In 3 sizes, designer Miguel Milá's imposing ring of lights is composed of glass blocks held within a tubular black metal structure. Suspended from a stainless-steel hanging system of 1 or 3 supports and a satin-nickel ceiling plate, the halo of LED illumination is dispersed in a symphony of vertical rays and shadows.
