The Fragments Mini Pendant from Bomma presents angular, faceted geometry reminiscent of raw gemstones. DECHEM Studio developed Fragmentglass specifically for this collection, transforming rejected mouthblown crystal pieces into a new material rather than discarding them. Glass shards from pieces that failed quality control are remelted and reformed, creating irregular crystalline shapes with inherent variations. The steel frame supports these upcycled components, where each pendant differs slightly due to the inherent nature of the reclaimed material. Light refracts unpredictably through the textured surfaces, producing effects that are distinct from those of traditional smooth crystal.
