Grain Pendant

The Grain Pendant from Ravenhill Studio transforms an unexpected construction incident into a celebrated design element. Inspired by a warning about wood grain occasionally imprinting on spun metal, this pendant intentionally embraces that texture for a natural edge. Each aluminum shade is formed over a custom maple mold before being spun into shape. The mold gradually erodes before being sandblasted to raise the natural grain again, meaning each pendant is unique. A flared glass socket glows from within and reflects a unique light texture from the shade, matching precision engineering with an entrancing organic character.
