The Hoshi Pendant from Corbett Lighting takes its cue from Hoshigaki, the centuries-old Japanese tradition of hanging candied persimmons to dry, reinterpreting the form through the lens of Isamu Noguchi's Akari lanterns. Designed by Noz Nozawa, a single silk shade is suspended from a T-bar and link chain in Vintage Brass, giving the piece a light, almost weightless presence overhead. The shade diffuses light softly through the fabric, and the T-bar detail at the top adds a structural accent that keeps the design from feeling too simple.
