A cascade of elongated, fluted glass forms the central stem, tapering gracefully into a trio of scrolling brass arms. Below, a handblown Murano shade unfurls in ribbed, scalloped curves, each contour catching the light in soft ripples. Brass accents, aged to a warm patina, anchor the crystalline elements—from the coiled collars that clasp the curved glass arms to the flared, petal-like fittings at the canopy. Lit from within, the shade radiates a gentle, luminous glow, its fluted glass scattering light in subtle, shimmering bands. The Barovier dynasty traces its roots to 1295, when Jacobello Barovier, a master glassblower, began transforming molten sand and minerals into incandescent works of art. For centuries, the family maintained its legacy, crafting exquisite glass pieces until the mid-20th century, when it merged with another renowned glassworks to become Barovier & Toso. This evolution reflects a commitment to artistry and tradition that endures to this day. Condition: Great vintage condition with a natural patina to the brass accents.
