Designed for av mazzega in the 1970s, the ls 192 model reflects the era’s move towards bold experimentation with texture, light diffusion, and material presence. design the shade is composed of four thick cast glass panels, each alternating between clear and satin crystal finishes. These slabs are arranged in a cross formation around the central bulb holder, attached via a brushed nickel armature. Vertical ridges and slight undulations in the glass refract and scatter the light, creating a subtle warm glow and casting soft shadows against surrounding walls. A narrow band of white sandblasted texture adds contrast and softens the transitions between clear and frosted areas. carlo nason, long associated with av mazzega, pushed the boundaries of traditional murano craftsmanship by adopting a more modular and sculptural approach.
