Striking “maxi globe” cascade pendant lamp designed and produced by raak amsterdam, netherlands, circa 1965. A refined example of dutch mid-century lighting design, it demonstrates raak’s signature approach of combining sculptural form with atmospheric illumination. the pendant features three hand-blown smoked glass globes in graduated sizes, each suspended at a different height from a central black ceiling canopy. The globes are finished with brass fittings, lending a warm contrast to the cool tone of the glass and creating a sophisticated interplay of light and material. When lit, the lamp emits a soft, diffused glow that enhances its elegant, floating composition. each globe is marked with the original raak label, confirming authenticity. The fixture remains in very good condition with light patina consistent with age.
