The Foldability Maya Pendant takes cues from traditional paper folding, embedding each facet of the small lantern with a handmade geometric depth. Twelve parchment paper squares are reformed in to small pyramids, exposing a mosaic of layers that vary the light and shadows when lit. Reassembled in to an abstracted diamond shape, the petite structure has a balanced continuity from every viewpoint, formed from extensive knowledge of mathematical geometry.
