Mid-Century Modern Cocoon pendant lamp by Goldkant Leuchten, designed by Friedel Wauer in the 1960s. A minimalist design, the lamp features a simple, spindle-like form. The Cocoon material provides diffused, atmospheric light. At the same time, the symmetrical lamp body makes an impressive lighting statement in the room. The manufacturer, Goldkant, is known for various Cocoon lamp designs from the 1960s and 70s. Many Goldkant designs are often attributed to Castiglioni, as the patterns and forms used are very similar. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of use and patina.
