I remember a light very similar to this hung in my Grandmothers kitchen when I was a child - so, when I spotted it at an estate sale, I was immediately drawn to it. The glass saucer is transparent glass with very pale yellow "bursts" of color (almost like a firework) throughout the saucer. There is one small, 1" area just under the edge that appears to be a flaw in the glass - not a chip but it is noticable by close inspection. The plug on the light measures 43" in length an has been re-attached / re-wired to a more modern 3 prong light-bulb housing and chain.
