This special lamp was hand-made in Italy by La Murrina in Venice. They were Murano artisans specialising in one-off, hand-blown, beautiful pieces of art glass for home decor. Each one is signed as this one is with La Murrina etched into the glass and a little discreet logo. The firm was later taken over and moved to Milan where today they make more colourful and mass-produced items. The elegant but whimsical shape fits well in modern interiors with it's understated colouring and translucent appearance. It belies how heavy the glass is but it's well supported by 2 brass wires and has a co-ordinating brass ceiling rose. It takes a E27 light bulb, therefore there is choice to have a warm white or cool white light as shown in the photos. The maximum length of the wire and cable is 70 cm. This is a rare and collectable piece of Murano that you can enjoy using every day. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
