Orpheus Porcelain Rose Of NymphenburgThe handcrafted porcelain rose is from Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg, creating the finest porcelain in since 1747. Invited by Nymphenburg to create a new concept, William Brand sought to combine European heritage with a contemporary sculpture from his hands.The delicate porcelain rose, made to perfection on the Nymphenburg palace ground just outside Munich, is embraced by casted bronze and protects it from the passing of time. The Orpheus is meant to last beyond a single lifetime and passed on to the next generation. It is created in a limited edition.One of the most legendary poets and singers in Greek mythology is Orpheus. He sang so beautifully that he touched everyone and all around him. The King and Queen were moved to tears, but also the birds, trees, and even the stones were hypnotized by his magical voice. We have found several objects of desire amidst the nymphs and trees and formed them into lighting sculptures. Other precious stones can also be sourced, upon request. Given the scarcity of these treasures, we will source the stones on a case-by-case basis for our clients: we are at the hands of what nature offers us.In addition to Orpheus Nymphenburg, William Brand crafted the Orpheus pendant, that holds in her hand precious stones from various mines around the world. Each with their unique story and power, we offer as a standard option for Orpheus, the precious stones Amethyst and Pyrite. The Orpheus Nymphenburg and Orpheus Precious Stones are cast in bronze in our own atelier.
