Extremely rare hanging lamp by bent karlby for lyfa. Model ninotchka p-231 from 1954. model 'ninotchka' pendant of black lacquered aluminum with curved top, mounted with brass ring, original hoist “egg” and ceiling cup, only thing not original is the cord, which we have had to change for safety made by the danish lamp manufacturer lyfa in 1954. the lamp is named after the ninotchka hat worn by greta garbo in the 1939 movie of the same name. these lamps are often sold for several thousand euros/dollars and are extremely rare today. this is the original model from the 50s, not a newer production. i have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, up to 250v (europe/uk standard).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
