Orange Murano Glass Eclipse Pendant Attributed To Nason For Mazzega, Italy, 1960s

Chairish

$1,878

Gorgeous Mid-Century "Eclisse" pendant lamp in vibrant orange and white opaline Murano glass. This iconic lamp was designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in Italy in the late 1960s. Named "Eclisse" which means eclipse in Italian, this lovely lamp consists of two stunning hand-blown Murano glasses that can individually rotate, allowing to hide or reveal the light bulb and creating unique refraction effects. The pendant is completed by its original metal chain and canopy that can be adjusted. The contrast between the bright orange and the white opaline glasses is incredibly cheerful. The glasses have no chipping or stains. A marvelous item, perfect for a midcentury living room project or a colorful modern kitchen. Measures in cm: Depth - 18 Width - 29 Height - 96. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
