A rare and unusual pendant lamp designed by jo hammerborg for fog & mørup, denmark, manufactured in the 1960s. an uncommon and possibly uncatalogued model, retaining its original fog & mørup manufacturer’s label. executed in aluminium and copper, the lamp has a strong sculptural form characteristic of hammerborg’s more experimental lighting designs from this period. The combination of materials creates a warm reflected light and a striking architectural presence. with a generous 40 cm diameter, this is a substantial example, larger than many standard fog & mørup pendants, and particularly well suited above a dining table, in a hallway, or as a statement piece in a modern interior. in very good vintage condition with light age-related wear consistent with time and use. a scarce and highly collectible danish modern lighting piece by one of the most important scandinavian lighting designers of the period. dimensions diameter: 40 cm height: 30 cm retains original fog & mørup label.
