Jung has designed the glass part and Johansson-Pape the shade. Marked. Good vintage condition, minor patina and wear consistent with age and use. Three pendants, sold separately. Lisa Johansson-Pape is one of the most important Finnish lighting designers of the second half of the 20th century. A passionate advocate of lighting, Johansson-Pape designed classics that have received far too little attention. According to Lisa Johansson-Pape (1907-1989), the most important thing in designing a luminaire was that the product functioned well technically - form and aesthetics were secondary. However, as a skilled designer, she managed to meet both requirements perfectly: luminaires made in Finland are still in production today. Gunilla Jung (1905-1939) was a Finnish silver and lighting designer. She studied silversmithing at the School of Applied Arts. Her notable designs included original lamps and silverware, which made her one of the pioneers of Finnish design in the 1930s.
