The shadow collection was born from a desire to create a piece that challenges the notion of balance and gravity while maintaining the same language as the mural sculptural design pieces. These pieces compliment the space in height and with specific lighting ambiance: a game between shadows and light. The light pinched between the two ceramic platters is projected on its environment to reveal the architecture and create an enveloping and subdued atmosphere. These pieces are floating sculptures inviting to create and receive light to contribute to created a comfortable and intimate space. margaux leycuras "my ceramic workshop is located in bordeaux, france. It is dedicated to my ceramic practice. To make my line of dinnerware and sculptures, i use various traditional building techniques; such as the potter's wheel, slab and coil building. I only use high-temperature clays such as stoneware and porcelain. These clays are fired between 1230°c and 1300°c to reach their maturity and vitrify.
