Small Black Semi From Fog & Mørup, 1960s

Chairish

$552

The most compact version of the "Semi" pendant light by Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup. Produced by Fog & Mørup in the late 1960s, the lamp features the signature trumpet shape derived from two quarter-circles put together, creating a silhouette that is both sharp and organic. This example is the small 25.5 cm diameter model, finished in a sleek black lacquer (likely matte or satin), which emphasizes the graphic quality of its lines. The interior is painted white to ensure a functional, glare-free downlight. Its smaller scale makes it exceptionally versatile—perfect for hanging low over a bedside table, in a row above a kitchen counter, or clustered at different heights in a corner. Condition Report: The lamp is in good vintage condition. The black lacquer finish shows minor signs of age and use (light scuffs or scratches) typical for a vintage item of this period, but retains its structural integrity and charm. The original fabric cord adds a nice vintage touch. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
