Set of eight aluminum pendant lamps by the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos, Splügen Bräu model, 1960s. This model was designed in 1961 and its name was dedicated to the luxurious Splügen Bräu beer house, opened in 1961 in Milan. It was a trendy meeting place that combined classic elements of the Bavarian tavern with fun and refined aesthetic solutions, characteristics of the authentic style of the Castiglioni brothers. The lamps, which come from an important hotel near Bologna (Italy), although showing some signs of age are in good vintage condition. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
