This rare Space Age pendant lamp by the Italian Designer Giofredo Reggiani consists of 3 chromed arms to illuminate multiple points in the space. The arms can be rotated in different directions. Each arm ends in a chrome ball which has a socket inside. Any type of light bulb can be used, a silver cupped light bulb is recommended as it makes much more pleasant light. The Italian Designer Goffredo Reggiani launched his manufacture Reggiani Illuminazione in the beginning of the 1950‘s. Goffredo Reggiani is known for his futuristic looking designs of lamps as a response to the space age which began in the beginning of the 70‘s. Reggiani used mainly chrome, as well as opaline glass and teak, to Space Age designs. Today, the Reggiani company is still in operation. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
