Carl thore pendant lamp for granhaga metallindustri, sweden, 1970s a refined swedish pendant lamp designed by carl thore (sigurd lindkvist) and produced by granhaga metallindustri during the 1970s. the design is defined by its layered aluminium construction, where a series of concentric internal rings diffuse the light into a soft, evenly distributed glow. When illuminated, the lamp reveals a warm tonal depth, while the exterior remains restrained and architectural in brushed metal. this interplay between structure and light is characteristic of thore’s work — functional at its core, yet visually precise and highly controlled. the aluminium body retains a clean, industrial elegance, contrasted by the warm internal reflector that enhances the light quality without becoming visually dominant. a well-balanced piece that works equally well as a singular statement or in repetition over a table or kitchen island. the lamp remains in very good vintage condition, with minor signs of age consistent with use.
