The ph 5 lamp is an icon of danish design that has gained enormous popularity worldwide. Ph 5 was designed by the renowned designer and architect poul henningsen in 1958 and is still manufactured by louis poulsen to this day. The form of the lamp was designed based on the principle of a reflective system that directs the light not only downwards, but also sideways, illuminating the lamp itself.
