Vl 56 Mini Pendant

The VL 56 Mini Pendant from Louis Poulsen gives its surroundings an expressive and direct appeal. Designed by Danish functionalist architect Vilhelm Lauritzen, who created every aspect of a building originally conceived for the Danish Labour Movement, which is now a concert hall, with the lamps still shining bright. A slim disc canopy secures the fixture, transmitting a fine stem to a sculptural aluminum structure below, a cylindrical light housing supporting a lower, rounded shade around the lamping, left open at its base and accompanied by a layer of pinhole vents around it to deliver a mix of direct light and soft ambiance below.
