This modernist pendant was designed and manufactured in sweden in the 1940s by asea belysning (allmänna svenska elektriska aktiebolaget). The light features a smooth, large opaline glass shade in a rounded, tapered form, complemented by a brass cone shaped canopy and short light rod. This 1940s pendant showcases a minimalist yet elegant design typical of mid-century european lighting, combining clean lines with warm metallic accents. Some minor patina on the brass pieces. The light requires one e26/e27 bulb and has been wired for use in us. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, up to 250v (europe/uk standard).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
