This ‘ph5’ hanging ceiling lamp was designed by poul hennigsen and produced by louis poulsen in denmark since 1958. Hennigsen wanted to create a lamp with which he wanted to capture the golden hour. He aimed to make a lamp that had no glaring bulbs but rather a diffused glow, hence why he used 3 shades to direct the light. the ph5 became an instant success and one of the most popular lamps in danish midcentury design. The steel structure has a single light socket for e27 fitted lamps and is finished with a blue paint underneath. Missing a few chips of white paint on the edge but further in good, original condition.
