As if it’s suspending little buckets of light, the Ginza vertical pendant, designed by Thomas Bernstrand, has the smarts to allow light to flow in all directions given the shades are adjustable. Made of painted aluminum and metal, the fixture is available in black, white and orange. Matt diffusers soften the glow of the illumination as it flows from the fixture’s clever cups fitted to a slim central bar. This fixture would look oh-so-smooth over a desk in a hotel room as it would in the corner of a conference room.Note Design Studio roared to the forefront of design after its founding in Stockholm in 2008. It might have something to do with the name the five partners gave themselves—“To note something, to get noted: we are named after what we try to achieve.” Focusing on an attention to surroundings, the designers of Note declare their aim is to create things that will inspire other designers to do the same. By looking at what is unique in every project and emphasizing this uniqueness, they hope to transform non-material values into tactile objects and spaces. Their work crosses disciplines from architecture and interior design to product design, graphic design and design strategy. One look at the number and variety of products on the home page of their website make it clear the breadth of their design talent knows no bounds.Specifications:Light source: LED: 3 x 8.5W LUXEON CoB / 3000K / 800 Lumens + Philips Advance Driver 120-277V, 0-10V Dimming (LE + TE Dimming)Cord length: 6 FeetDimension:Height 47.25"Width 9"Depth 6".
