Beautiful 19th C. Carved and Gilded Frame c. 1850s to 1870s. This early Victorian ornate frame is absolutely stunning. The water-gilded frame retains most of it's original gold, with very little discoloration. The frame is carved wood, wire and gesso and is in excellent condition for it's age. There are a few minor spots of loss (see pics) these are easily restored. Opening dimensions 38" x 29 1/2". The outside of the frame measures 47" x 39". A great early Victorian find.
