A century old teak wood mortar originally used to grind rice, is repurposed into this minimalist tall side table, stool or pedestal. We first turned it upside down and smoothed out the entire piece and made sleek cut outs into the sides. Finished with an espresso stain and natural oil revealing the beautiful wood grain.
