A substantial Medici-style garden basin in reconstituted stone, offering a striking decorative presence and a natural patina deeply marked by time, moss, and the elements. Its generous curves are organized around a richly ornamental, sculpted decoration in high relief. The body is adorned with a coat of arms surmounted by a crown, framed by garlands of fruit and abundant flowers, supported by mascarons depicting satyrs or fauns. The whole reflects a classical decorative repertoire inspired by the grand designs of aristocratic gardens. The composition is accentuated by a molded rim with a twisted wave motif and an egg-and-dart frieze, while the base features wide, stylized gadroons. The circular, molded pedestal rests on a stable base with a twisted decoration, lending the piece balance and elegance. with its silhouette and decoration, this basin blends seamlessly into a garden setting, entryway, or terrace, lending the timeless charm of grand homes and château gardens. Created in the early 20th century, around 1920–1930, it is made in France from high-density reconstituted stone, a preferred material for this type of outdoor ornamentation. It is in excellent overall condition today, with a superb original patina, punctuated by natural lichens that highlight its age.
