A rare vienna secession oak jardinière stand on slender tripod supports. The shapely top bears a moulded edge with a decorative frieze beneath. Three gently carved supports adjoin the top to a trio of legs ending on small pad feet. A second curved tier gives extra support and complements this perfectly symmetrical table. Displaying elements of both the english arts and crafts movement and the art nouveau period in france at the turn of the century. The stand bears a retailers badge along with an embossed product number to the underside of the top. Made in austria and sold through outlets within europe and attributed to liberty & co. Of london.
