A very good 19th century English pottery two part garden urn in the form of a rustic tree trunk with a large well at the top for holding plants. The upper section lifts off and is made up of branches joined together in the Adirondack taste. The lower section is a tree trunk with naturalistic bark. Measures 30" tall x 23.25" diameter at the top. The upper section would be a wonderful table top centerpiece filled with orchids or ferns. Perfect for use in a Victorian greenhouse or four seasons room or as a side table to hold books or magazines. The bottom section has a flat top and by itself could be used as a side table or garden seat. The piece is heavily potted with thick walls and is quite heavy.
