A beautifully aged antique French copper and zinc footed jardinière, oval shaped form, with elaborate and richly detailed decoration depicting Neoclassical cherub putti, architectural and world globes motif in wonderful repousse metalwork. Rising on three Rococo style feet, lacking one foot. Each foot is signed (illegible) to the verso. Stunning patinated copper coloring, including scattered verdigris; the item has not been cleaned so as to retain the authenticity of the nicely aged, weathered, naturally distressed, warm, rustic, original patina over the whole. A charming piece of functional decor, great for indoor or outdoor use, as a planter, cachepot, fireplace accent, patio box or garden ornament.
