This 2.500 kg vintage copper planter has been hand-hammered, hand-cut, and hand-polished in Turkey. The traditional Turkish handicraft of copper-smithing, dating back 9000 years, draws its luster from Anatolia’s mineral-rich landscape. Artisans pass down their techniques over generations, transforming high-quality raw materials into intricate heirlooms. The first copper artifacts found in the region are utilitarian tools, but the versatility of the metal was quickly adapted for kitchenware, bathing bowls, and ornamental pieces. Our vintage copper is priced by Kg. Heavier weight does not always mean bigger size. Please check both before purchasing. One-of-a-kind and marked by time, each of these pieces will display unique patina and natural imperfections. Re-worked treasures are not as waterproof as they were in their first life. If you plan to fill your copper vessel with water or a planted pot, we recommend using a mason jar or pot liner.
