Glass, Brass, And Wood Planter, Italy, 1970s

Chairish

$1,136

A planter made of silkscreened smoked glass, mirrored glass, brass, and plywood in italy in the 1970s. The planter serves both decorative purposes and as a partition between two spaces, thanks to its four vertical glass panels set inside the tub. These panels are made of smoked glass and silkscreened with a stylized flower design. The tub portion of the planter is made of plywood covered with mirrored glass and edged with brass. The frame has four composite legs. the four vertical glass panels each measure h160 x l28 x w1 cm. as shown in the photo, they must be inserted into the guides inside the planter itself. three out of four glass panels have small imperfections (see photo) on the edges where they fit inside the guides (and are therefore not visible when assembled). Since they are located at the end of the glass panes and are small in size, in a possible restoration project, it is possible to shorten the glass panes by approximately 4/5 cm to eliminate the imperfection without compromising the structure or aesthetics of the piece of furniture.
