Early 19th century Italian terra cotta Athenienne stand, probably made by the Piranesi Factory. The design draws its inspiration from the classical incense burner which had a tripod stand and was intended for ornamentation or as a perfume burner. It has also been used as heater, a washstand, for making tea, or as a planter. This piece adds flair to any room and it's multiple uses provide a wealth of decorative options.
