A striking West German Fat Lava planter produced by Bay Keramik during the mid-20th century. This example is model 887-22, impressed to the base together with “W. Germany”, confirming period and origin. The planter is decorated with a bold high-relief floral band in deep red, set against a dark brown and black ground. The thick, glossy glaze and sculptural surface are characteristic of Bay Keramik’s output during the Fat Lava period, reflecting the expressive aesthetic of post-war West German ceramics. A strong decorative object, suitable for use as a planter or as a standalone display piece.
